“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches
in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19

Haiti lives under the oppressive shadow of widespread poverty.  The per capita income for a Haitian family is estimated at $4.83 per day or around $1,700.00 annually. Any lasting hope for the people living in this nation must include the opportunity to earn enough money to provide for the basic needs of their family. Because Haiti is the most poverty stricken country in the Western Hemisphere, offering job skill training and employment opportunities are essential.

VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The following programs are either currently established on the field or in the process of being researched as possibilities for additional work opportunities. As a mission staff, we are trusting God for an effective network of people and resources.  If you are interested in helping us develop these “visions of hope” for the people of Haiti, please contact us.

Sewing Classes

Associated with the church/school centers, these classes have proved to be financially beneficial.  Currently, there are sewing programs at Limonade and Biley.

Micro-Financing

The Mission is also partnering with individuals/families within our church communities who are interested in operating small business ventures.  Business loans have been financed by mission partners.

Soap Making

During the summer of 2021, 40 students at the Biley School and Chaffrey Church were selected to learn the art of making soap, perfume, and mistolin (an all purpose cleaner).Soap products, etc. were taken to market and sold at market and in neighboring villages.

Agriculture/Cooperative Gardening

There are avenues of opportunities for development and sustainability of horticultural projects.  Because this would eventually involve families and communities, land needs to be purchased and plans for cultivation, planting, and harvesting need to be carefully considered and implemented.

Aquaculture Farms

Networking with other ministries and/or businesses, research for the promotion of financing fish farms is under consideration.  The initial purchase of land and equipment are necessary to develop this vision of hope.
